ANGER
AND COURAGE
"Hope
has two beautiful daughters.
Their names are Anger and Courage,"
said Saint Augustine.
Anger
at the way things are, and courage to see
that they do not remain as they are."
Certainly
two eneimies of Anger and Courage
are Contentment and Sloth:
ignoring the inequities and poverties of
the world, blindly failing
to make a difference.
Helkp
me, Lord, to see the world as it is,
and to do what I can do to make it better.
No, I can't change the world, not the whole
world, but I can do my small part, and together
with people of good will everywhere, Yes,
we can change the world.
Give
me the courage to see what I can do, and
do it. Give me the courage to take hands
with others, and we can make a difference.
Amen
