God of Mystery and Revelation,

Sometimes in life we need to look
a second time to see what is right before us, slightly hidden: a new opportunity,
a new path, a new friend, a new way
of thinking, or even of praying.

Teach me the patience to examine all things as they need to be examined, and to consider all options as they deserve to be considered.

Help me to not overlook what I should be paying attention to.

Help me to see the soul beneath the surface
in all people.

Let me seek Your glory in unexpected places.
Let me find Your love in hearts where
I didn't realize that it exists.

And let me always be alert to new ways
of looking for You, thinking about You,
finding You, connecting with You
and praying to You.
