Prayers - Acceptance

ACCEPTANCE

Dear God,

Please give me the courage to accept
what is now, and what is to come in the future.

Guide me, I pray, to let go of what was,
and to move forward, onward and up,
to all that will be.

Give me faith in the future, with the knowledge that Your hand is always on my shoulder, whatever may come.

Sometimes it takes more strength to let go
than to hold on. Let me know when I must let go.

Steady me when I must move into uncertainty,
and let me remember always that I move on
never alone, but always surely with You leading,
guiding and supporting me, and with the companions you bring into my life.

Let not my will but Yours be done in all things.

Amen
