AN ACT OF FAITH

Oh, my God,
I firmly believe all the sacred truths
which the Holy Catholic Church
believes and teaches, because You,
Who can neither deceive nor be deceived,
have revealed them.

AN ACT OF HOPE

Oh, my God,
relying on Your infinite goodness
and promises I hope to obtain
pardon of my sins, the help of Your grace,
and life everlasting.

AN ACT OF LOVE

Oh, my God
I love You above all things
because You art all good
and deserving of all my love.
I love my neighbor as myself
for the love of You.
I forgive all who have injured me
and I ask pardon
for all whom I have injured.

AN ACT OF CONTRITION

O my God,
I am heartily sorry
for having offended You.
I detest all my sins
because I dread the loss of heaven
and the pains of hell
but most of all
because they offend You,
my God, Who are all good
and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve,
with the help of Your grace,
to confess my sins, to do penance,
and to amend my life.
