ANTIDOTES

Dear God of All Contrasts and Paradoxes,
let me remember these antidotes:

For lack of courage, faith in your care
For loneliness, reaching out to others
For fear, confidence in Your providence
For arrogance, remembrance of Your humility

For selfishness, concern for others
For confusion, trust in the Holy Spirit
For depression, anticipation of heaven
For stinginess, reminder of Your warnings

Please help me Divine Physician, to keep
my soul healthy through prayers and good works and through total confidence in Your divine promises.

All this I pray this day and always,
in faith, in hope and in love,
