BLESS
ALL PEOPLE
Dear
God, Creator of us all,
Bless
sailors and tailors
and merchandise mailers,
winners and sinners
and grade-school beginners.
Bless
tall folk and small folk
and teachers and preachers,
bakers, the Lakers
and grave undertakers.
Bless
gamblers and ramblers
and animal handlers,
bless dreamers and schemers
and loafers and go-fers.
Bless
dressers and pressers
and priestly confessors,
bless thinkers and drinkers
and tinsmiths and tinkers.
Bless
rovers and drovers
and plumbers and drummers,
porters and sorters,
and proctors and doctors.
Bless
cooks and crooks
and those who write books,
bless valets at chalets
and jewelers and toolers.
Bless
feeders and bleeders,
political leaders,
skaters and raters,
and tax estimators.
Bless
good ones and bad ones,
the saintly and sinners,
aged retirees
and life's young beginners.
Bless
us all Lord
the great and the least,
and lead us at last
to Your heavenly feast.
Amen
