FOR FRIENDS

Dear God at this hour,
please accept my prayer
for all these friends:

My friend who is most ill,
My friend who is most angry,
My friend who is most lonely,
My friend who is most afraid,
My friend who is most unhappy,
My friend who is most unloved,
My friend who is most insecure,
My friend who is most uncertain.

Please accept my prayer for:

My friend who needs a job,
My friend who needs a friend,
My friend who needs to apologize,
My friend who does not feel Your love,
My friend who carries the greatest burden,
My friend who does not know where to turn,
My friend who has made the greatest mistake,
My friend who has suffered the deepest loss,

My friend who is burdened
with a terrible secret,

My friend who is suffering
the greatest disbelief,

My friend who does not know
where to turn for help,

My friend who is most weighed down
with the care of another,

My friend who cannot escape from deep
and recurrent depression,

Dear God, Please accept my prayerS
for all these friends of mine and Yours.

Please rain down showers of hope and calm
and grace and joy upon them all!

Please give them respite from their demons
and wash away all their worries!

Please send them and good timely solutions
to their problems and their challenges!

Please show them bright sunshine, holy joy
and new resolve this day.

I pray to You, their loving Father,
our loving God, Jesus Eternal, for help
and hope and peace.
