Dear
God of Happiness and Smiles,
We are the only creatures on earth who can laugh.
What
a good gift you gave us in humor: the ability to laugh,
and not to take ourselves too seriously.
We
have moods and the ability to change our moods from
dark to bright if we work hard enough at it.
We
are able to make jokes, to turn difficulties into
humorous stories, and to see beauty
in the unexpected twists and turns of fate
in our lives.
Please,
Lord, let me be able always to see
"the bright side" and to see happiness and
humor, even in the challenging and dark times which
fall sometimes upon all our lives.
Please
bless the clowns, the humorists,
the jokesters, the pranksters, the comedians
and the writers of comedy, who bring smiles
to our faces and bright shining happiness
to our hearts.
