HEAL THE WOUNDS

"The thing that the Church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds. It is useless to ask a seriously injured person if he has high cholesterol and about the level of his blood sugars! You have to heal his wounds. Then we can talk about cholesterol else.

I beg You, God, make me a healer,
with Your love as my medicine.

In conversations with friends, help me
to hear the symptoms of sadness and need.

Please inspire me with the words which may bring comfort to the ailing and solace
to the hurting, whose wounds are often hidden and unhealing.

All this I pray in loving humility and hope.
