PUPPIES

God, if a dog is man's best friend,
a puppy is best cuddly pet:
symbols of innocence and the hopes
of tomorrow, incomparable bundles of energy, innocence, loyalty and love.
Puppies want only to please.

Would that we could be so eager and giving
without reserve.

Would that we could ask so little
and give so much.

Would that we could please You
always as we should!

Let us take a lesson in trust and gratitude,
in unconditional love, in future possibility,
from these, Your furry, cuddly little innocents.

Thank You, Lord of all Creation,
for the glorious gift and the role model
of puppies!

God, please bless all puppies,
and please bless all of us.
