glistening, scintillating,
valuable gems are credited
with enduring beauty.
Are they a scintilla of the opulence
of Your heavenly kingdom, dear God?
An infinitesimal glint
of Your heavenly Glory?

make my will and my dedication
as hard and pure and enduring
as the most valuable diamond,
I pray You, Lord.
